Sharee is highly experienced in all facets of Dance and Performing Arts. Her experience includes performances in Disneyland USA, Star Cruises, Carnival Cruise Lines and most recently Norweigen Cruise Lines. Sharee is highly qualified in Tap, Jazz and Classical Ballet. Her credentials include a Diploma of Tap Dance Teaching (LGTDA), Teachers Certificate (CSTD - Tap), Teachers Diploma (CSTD - Tap), Jazz Award (CSTD), Advanced Theatrical (Classical ballet, Tap and Jazz), Modern Jazz 8 and recently completed her Bachelor of Education (Primary). She is a highly motivated enthusiastic teacher who enjoys teaching children of all ages and abilities.
Sharee is married with a baby boy, Benjamin.
RAD Classical Ballet
Joelle Babuin-Henry moved to Brisbane from Vancouver, Canada five years ago. She has been dancing since the age of three and teaching Royal Academy of Dance ballet for 25 years in Canada, Australia and Singapore. Joelle has been teaching ballet at Sharee Skye Dance Centre for five years. During this time the ballet program has produced wonderful ballet students and improved the students’ performance in jazz and contemporary. Joelle also has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. This degree fuelled her desire to continue studying movement further and she now teaches Polestar mat Pilates and GYROTONIC®. She is keen to pass on her love of dance and movement to others and is really looking forward to another great year at SSDC.

She was enrolled in a dance classes at the age of three to support her extreme shyness. Look at her now!!!
She did her first tap class in jazz shoes, came out and exclaimed, "Mummy buy the shoes. I was born to TAP!"
She has tried and loved all forms of dance including jazz, hip-hop, tap, ballet, acrobatics and contemporary. She has achieved Trinity College of London successes in musical theatre and speech and drama exams since the age of seven. She is currently working towards her Teaching and Performance Diploma’s in Musical Theatre! She has performed on stage in competitions and shows since the age of five and is excited to be sharing her love and extensive knowledge of absolutely everything musical theatre!
CSTD Jazz & Tap, Acrobatics & RAD Ballet
Kirsty began dancing at the age of 3 and has been dancing ever since. She has been with Sharee Skye for 8 years and performs competitively at the studio. Kirsty has performed in Disneyland USA and Hong Kong, Universal Studios USA and is a highly successful group and solo performer. Kirsty recently completed her RAD Classical Ballet exam with Distinction, as well as her Modern Jazz 8, Advanced Gold Star, Level 4 Contemporary and Level 8 Theatrical Performing Arts all with Honours Plus. Kirsty has been teaching since 2009 and loves teaching students of all ages and in all styles. Kirsty is currently in the progress of completing her Junior Acrobatique teaching course. She is also currently completing her Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science at the University of Queensland.
Jamie trained at the Queensland Dance School of Excellence and the National Theatre Ballet School before going on to dance professionally in various companies in Europe and Australia. She has over ten years of teaching experience in contemporary and classical ballet in schools in Melbourne, Brisbane and Portugal. She is a registered teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance and is a freelance choreographer for competition dance schools. This year Jamie has been invited to teach at the RAD's International Dance School held in Singapore.

Jasmine began dancing at the age of 3 and studied Tap, Jazz and Ballet. As the years went on, Jasmine expanded her repertoire to include Hip Hop / Street Dance. All these different styles fused together have created Jasmine’s own Street Style, which she is now renowned for.
Jasmine has been performing, choreographing and teaching workshops throughout Australia since 1998.
Industry credits include performing and choreographing for Mexican superstar Belinda, performing co-choreographing Mega Jam Instructional DVD’s, RAQ Fashion Awards, Dancer and Choreographer for QLD Reds and Brisbane Broncos Dance Teams, and seven years as a dancer and character performer at Warner Bros Movie World.
As a freelance performer, she has appeared in countless video clips, television appearances, fashion shows and night club performances, locally and internationally. If you want to see Jaz in action, her Mega Jam YouTube Channel is currently one of the biggest Hip Hop Choreography Dance Channels in the World!
Jasmine brings a wealth of knowledge, experience & passion, and is thrilled to be our resident Hip Hop teacher at SSDC.
‘Nanna’, as our little ones refer to her has over 12 years experience in teaching tiny tots & pre school dance and is also a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Nanna has just completed her Elementary Gold examinations and holds a strong passion for dance. Nanna is strong believer that no matter what age, dance is a language that can be taught and Nanna, herself is no exception to this rule!
CSTD Jazz and Tap & RAD Classical
Dance has been a part of Sophie’s life since she was 4 years old starting with jazz and tap and quickly followed by ballet. She has completed all her tap and jazz exams and is working through her final few ballet exams. Group performances include eisteddfods, D3, Disneyland USA, Disneyland Hong Kong and Universal Studios USA. She is still part of the SSDC performance team. Solo performances include tap, jazz and lyrical. Sophie has been teaching for 3 years and holds her CSTD Modern Jazz Certificate. She loves teaching children and works hard towards helping each child achieve their potential. Her happy nature is infectious and she is enthusiast about her work. Sophie is currently completing her Bachelor of Health Studies at the University of Queensland.
Musical Theatre, Jazz, Tap & Acrobatics
Jordan Paterson started dancing (ballet, tap and jazz) at the age of 3 (R.A.D) and (C.S.T.D). She has completed a Bachelors degree in Creative Arts and culture (musical theatre) with high distinctions, which she spent 6 months training in New York state. She majored in drama and holds a minor in music. Jordan has her Teachers certificate in both CSTD Jazz and Tap. She also has completed her AMEB grade 8 Speech and Drama with Distinction. Jordan has also trained in acrobatics/ gymnastics at Flipside Circus and Urban Gymnastics! She’s completed Acting courses with NIDA and musical theatre courses with both WAPPA, and Harvest Rain. She started choreographing at the age of 15. Jordan even has a diploma in deportment and modelling!
Jordan has performed all over Australia and the states including eisteddfods, shopping centre shows, Disneyland, star cruises, carnival cruises and even Hawaii! She has appeared in several TV commercials and short films.
From an early age she has always been an enthusiastic performer. Still active in the performing industry today, Jordan hopes to share her love of creative arts with the students of SSDC!

CSTD Jazz and Tap
Kelsey has been dancing at Sharee Skye Dance Centre for 7 years, and is currently in her 8th year studying all genres of dance. Kelsey’s most recent examinations include Modern Jazz 7, Advanced Gold Bar, andContemporary 1, which all received outstanding results of honour plus and honours for her Contemporary 2. Recently Kelsey was awarded the Senior Championship for Tap at the South East Qld Performing Arts Festival for her solos performances. Kelsey also performs in group eisteddfods for 15 and Under, Opens, duos and trios, and also performed on the SSDC USA trip. Kelsey has been teaching since 2009 and loves working with the SSDC students, with her most recent students receiving impressive results in their dance examinations. Currently, Kelsey is in Grade 11 at St Peters Lutheran College, and is working towards her final Modern Jazz exam 8, Advanced Gold Star, and Contemporary 3 examinations this year. Kelsey has a passion for all aspects of dance and is looking forward to her future years ahead with the dance studio.
Sam has been dancing since the age of 5, studying Ballet, Jazz, Flamenco, Cabaret, Singing, Musical Theatre, and his passion – Tap Dance. At the age of 14 Sam became the Junior ATOD Australasian Tap Champion, which he later reclaimed at the age 17 winning the Senior ATOD Australasian Tap Champion. Sam joined Raw Dance Company in 2011 and has since toured with RAW’s Untapped, Bang! Crash! Tap! and Raw Metal throughout Western Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, New Zealand and the United States, including a season in New York City.
Hip Hop, CSTD Jazz, Tap & Ballet
Lily has been dancing from the young age of three years and dances all genre’s available at Sharee Skye Dance Centre. She participates in solo, duo and group performances and is currently working towards the completion of her Jazz and Tap examinations. She has managed to achieve exceptionally high results in her previous exams. Lily has been enthusiastically teaching and assist-teaching students of various ages since 2009 mainly working with our Preschool Ballet and Junior Hip-Hop classes. She loves teaching all ages and ensures all new students feel comfortable and welcomed in their classes by bringing a warm yet energetic feel to each class. Lily is very passionate about dance and aspires to one day pursue a career in the dance industry.
Contemporary & Lyrical
Claire has been trained in RAD classical ballet, CSTD modern jazz, CSTD tapping and Vaganova classical method. She is currently studying an Advanced Diploma in Dance (Elite Performance) and has also had her choreography showcased at various competitions and gala events. Claire has worked with SSDC to help create numerous lyrical and contemporary numbers.
